Thanks for visiting My Nappie...the result of a stay-at-home Mom with an Engineering degree!
I earned a Mechanical Engineering degree from Purdue University back in 2000. I worked in various engineering positions for seven years and then decided to try being a stay-at-home Mom after our second child was born. Needless to say, just like every Mom, I am always trying to improve the lives of my children.
My husband and I moved to Georgia not long after graduating college, so most of our family and friends are not close by. We've been on many road trips! After our daughter was born, we started to struggle with how to keep her head in place while she was snoozing...in the car, stroller, bouncy seat, swing. It was like having our very own bobble head doll.
For so long we just dealt with the travel pillows currently on the market or tried to stuff rolled up blankets around her. Been there, done that right? Once she was facing forward in the car seat it just got worse. Finally, this year I decided enough was enough and I grabbed some soccer socks and pony tail holders...and had the first version of My Nappie.
Of course my design needed refining and a facelift, so off I went on a sewing mission. My family and friends told me it was so cute, that I started working on the patent process. I look forward to that being finished, as having a patent is always the goal of an Engineer!
We hope you love My Nappie as much as we have, and that it helps your little one have a great nap.
